The latest feature could spell bad news for rivals such as Skype and Apple's Facetime

Taking on its arch rivals, Skype, Apple’s FaceTime, Viber, LINE and Google’s recently launched Duo, the Facebook-owned tech giant; WatsApp has rolled out its new Video Calling Feature. With this feature, the users will be able to make video calls across Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone devices in the coming days.

WhatsApp has provided the call button in the top right corner of the conversation. To start the call, you need to select the “video call” option from this screen. While calling, you have the option to switch between the forward-facing and rear camera.

Some Android Users may not find Video Calling option. Here is guideline how to get this feature.

1) Go to Play Store and Search Whatsapp

2) Click on Whatsapp & update it.

3) Go to whatsapp app now & click on call icon.

4) You can now see option to Select

a. Voice Call

b. Video Call

Congrats, now you can have video calling, face to face chat with your contacts !!

The technocrats suggest that WhatsApp wants to become the international platform for cross platform FaceTime. In the past, Apple has already given this feature in its IOS phones. With the help of this feature, the users can easily connect through different platforms like Android, Windows, etc. It seems that this feature will act differently on different interfaces.

Video calling is the latest additions to WhatsApp’s feature suite. For the past few months, the company has also rolled out several updates to enhance the functionality of this App.
